Highlights From Fashion Week SS16
Wednesday 21st October 2015
Firstly, I'm really sorry I know this is a very late post but I have been very bogged down with school work and my job at the moment. However, here is a round up of my favourite pieces from a range of S/S 16 shows:

McQueen Exhibition: Savage Beauty
Sunday 12th July 2015
Yesterday, I had the privilege of visiting the McQueen exhibition at the V&A...I was blown away! I am totally in awe of the way McQueen managed to evoke such a strong emotional reaction to his work from the use of controversial materials such as crocodile heads or human hair to the mesmerising shows. I equally admired the way McQueen used his work to confront an issue for example, the way the media/fashion industry promotes an unattainable image of female beauty. As I wandered around the exhibition it was fascinating to see the clarity of the many influences on McQueen's work as his work was amalgamated into specific collections and styles of garments i.e the tribal collection or striking tailoring. The exhibition was put together in such a way that I felt I had truly taken a glimpse into the great mind of McQueen himself.

Festival Style

Festival season is fast approaching with Glastonbury Festival kicking off next weekend. This means it's time to dust off those flower crowns and clean up your wellies. Once again, Coachella set an amazing example for the wide array of festival trends to be seen this season and the bohemian look shone through as a strong winner. Here I have tried to create a slightly boho style outfit, whilst factoring in British weather!
The Summer Trench
Friday 5th June 2015
After having wandered around Brighton last week I was really inspired to invest in a summer trench as I passed many well-dressed women styling this piece. As soon as I arrived home I got on my laptop and went on ShopStyle to help me find the ideal summer trench. The £25 Karron Beige Trench Coat from PrettyLittleThing stood out to me so I treated myself with my leftover birthday money.
